On October 4, 2024, Public First objected when the defendant sought to close the courtroom for an evidentiary hearing on a motion to withdraw guilty plea in State v. Juan Tejedor Baron, No. 1CPC-22-461.  On October 7, Judge Catherine Remigio denied the defendant’s motion to close the courtroom and conducted the hearing in public.
